The features of CryoEXS are multifold. CryoEXS uses a time and cost-efficient processing method with integrated winterization, which reduces overall processing time from days to several hours. It extracts a minimal amount of fats and waxes and has filter options for various needs. The machine does not require harmful solvents like pentane, hexane or butane, and is easy to clean, self-drainable, and designed in a way that the crude oil extract is almost free from contamination.


With ethanol used as a solvent in CryoEXS, DEVEX ensures explosion protection by designing the system to endure unsafe atmospheric conditions. To recover and reuse ethanol for other purposes, CryoEXS fully recovers ethanol out of the extraction and evaporation processes.

The DEVEX CryoEXS is available in three standard sizes to handle batch volumes of dried biomass of 100 liters, 300 liters, and 2x 300 liters. The plug-and-operate design ensures faster installation and commissioning.
